Rick Keil
Owner
Rick Keil is the third generation of the Keil family in the grocery business. His grandfather, Farrel Keil, opened the first Keil’s in Vancouver, Washington, in the early 1900s, and his father, Ron Keil, grew it to more than 13 stores in Washington and Oregon. Rick brought Keil’s to San Diego in July 1990 and has served San Diego shoppers ever since.
Brian Haire
General Manager
Brian Haire is General Manager of Keil’s Fresh Food Store, overseeing the store and the team that serves San Carlos and Del Cerro seven days a week, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Three Generations of Grocers
From a 500-square-foot store in Vancouver, Washington, to more than 13 stores in the Pacific Northwest, and now a neighborhood market in San Carlos, the Keil family has been in the grocery business for three generations.
