Norm’s Hometown Grocery wants everyone to be able to use our website and shop our store. We are committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control or screen magnification.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That includes:

Text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images
Clear headings and page structure
Color contrast that is easy to read
Forms and menus that work with a keyboard
Pages that work on phones, tablets and computers

Accessibility is ongoing work. We review the site as we add new content and fix problems as we find them.

Known limitations

Some content comes from other companies, such as the Google map on our location page and our weekly ad flyer. We choose partners with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their content. If you cannot use any part of the weekly ad, call us and we will be glad to tell you about this week’s specials.
