Norm's Hometown Grocery Community
The heart of Kearny, Arizona
Norm and Myra grew up right here in Kearny, and that hometown connection is at the heart of everything we do. Norm's Hometown Grocery is proud to be part of this community's story — its mining history, its schools, its local events, and the families who've called Kearny home for generations. Giving back isn't just something we talk about; it's part of who we are.

How We Support Our Community
Norm and Myra Warren grew up in Kearny, so when we give back to community needs, we’re giving back to the folks we grew up with. Norm’s Hometown Grocery is proud to support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Supply Drive, helping provide meals for families across the Copper Basin Tri-Community of Kearny, Hayden and Winkelman.
It’s one of the ways we take care of the neighbors who have supported this store since it opened as Gordon’s IGA in 1973.
Kearny’s Mining History, On Display
A visit to Norm’s is a bit of a walk through local mining-town history. Myra has spent years collecting and displaying photos and artifacts from the area’s mining days, and she’s proud to give anyone a tour of the collection. Stop by, grab your groceries and take a look. Highlights include historic photos of El Fenix and Gabe & Sons in Sonora, the underground mine tunnels and railroad at Ray, a vintage Chevron gas pump, and our Our Heroes wall honoring local veterans and service members.
Hometown Proud
“Hometown Proud” is IGA’s slogan, but for us it’s more than a logo. It’s who we are. We strive to be the friendliest store in town, and we welcome new customers with open arms.
